In music, sampling is the act of taking a portion, or sample, of one sound recording and reusing it as an instrument or element of a new recording. Have you heard of this before? Perhaps you've even heard a sample but didn't realise what it was!
Submit your songs below which have used samples. Anyone sharing a good example will have their post shared on this website, on twitter AND will receive a commendation.
Who will take the challenge of being awesome?

I had such a wonderful lunchtime today, hosting the second lunchtime concert of the year (the last was back in October).
We started with Din in Year 7 on the drums while Shane (Year 10), Mr Greenwood, Mr Hood and I (Mr T) backed him up performing Green Day's Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. Then Tamzid (Year 10) treated us to a beautiful performance of I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi. Up next were "The Band With No Name" with Hazera (Year 10) drumming, Shamiul (Year 8) playing the guitar and Al-Amin (Year 8) on the keyboards running through their arrangement of See You Again by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth (with me guesting on the bass). Then My-Anh (Year 8) played the keyboard, Savera (Year 8) played drums and Fawziah (Year 8) sang, with Mr Greenwood on the guitar. They ran through an energetic performance of Youngblood by 5 Seconds Of Summer (or "5SOS" as I'm led to believe the 'cool kids' would say). Finally we were treated to a vocal performance of Stay (Rhianna) by Hope (Year 7). There was a large and supportive audience made up of staff and students. I thank, and appreciate them all giving up their lunchtime to support our young musicians. I hope everyone has a lovely half term! Mr Tarbard |
